The 1994 start-up of the private non-profit Greater Oxnard Economic Development Corporation signaled Oxnard's serious intent to support local businesses in their growth plans, and bring even more companies to the community.
The EDC works individually with companies to support their growth plans, through assistance in the permit process, connections to sources of appropriate and affordable financing, assistance in developing training programs, and generally providing a one-stop source of information and problem-solving for business growth.
