Americans Spend More Time Online
According to Harris Interactive, Americans spend an average of 30% of leisure time online. The study found that Americans are spending more time online, on both a daily and weekly basis.
The amount of time Americans spend online per week doubled in the past 8 years - from 7 hours to 14 hours.
In 2009, due to the recession, it’s expected an even greater increase in the number of hours Americans spend online.
China is the first country in the rank of the percent of leisure time online. Internet users in China spent 44% of their leisure time on the Internet in 2008.
